A celebration of a quarter century of Ireland’s Unofficial anthem, Maniac 2000! Mark Mc Cabe, plus SNAP!, Safri Duo, Cascada, B’Witched, Alice DJ, N-Trance and Ultrabeat.
In Ireland, we appreciate a good dance banger. From stadiums in Sydney to weddings in Chicago, from Freshers weeks to Electric Picnic, there is one song above them all that means the party has started. It’s 100% Irish, has never faded from our psyche and now it’s time to celebrate the joy that is ‘Maniac 2000’ as the nation’s unofficial anthem turns 25 with a very special event in 3Arena, in March next year! The Big Day Out and Mark McCabe presents Maniac 25!.
The man behind ‘Maniac 2000’, Mark McCabe hosts a night to remember where some of Europe’s biggest Pop acts of the 00s and beyond get together to celebrate Ireland’s unofficial national anthem on the eve of St. Patrick’s Day, 16 March 2025. And opening up proceedings will be another of the biggest Irish pop acts ever, B’Witched!
When Maniac 2000 first hit the No. 1 spot here in Ireland, it held off a track that was topping the charts all over Europe and that track was Alice DJ’s ‘Better of Alone’ - so it’s fitting that Mark has invited them to perform at Maniac 25 too!
Meanwhile, all the way from Denmark, the awesome percussion show of Safri Duo playing the anthemic ‘Bongo Song’ comes to Ireland for the first time – this is guaranteed to be a huge moment! From Germany, with four Irish No. 1 singles, the Europop powerhouse that is SNAP! also jet in with the huge voice of Penny Ford performing ‘Rhythm is a Dancer’, ‘The Power’, ‘Cult of Snap’ and many more of the tracks that live alongside Maniac 2000.
‘Set you Free’ is a stone-cold Irish classic and N-Trance will be live on stage performing it and their other massive No. 1 hits. From representing Germany at Eurovision to headlining the biggest Pride Festival in the world, Cascasda are celebrating 20 years on the road and have consistently delivered some of biggest pop dance hits in the world from ‘Evacuate the Dancefloor’ to ‘Everytime We Touch’.
And of course, as the ringmaster and host of the evening, Mark Mc Cabe will celebrate 25 years of Maniac with a special performance to finish the evening!
