John Bishop today announces dates for Belfast and Dublin for spring 2027 with a brand-new show, Let's Go Round Again.
Hot on the heels of John’s sold out critically acclaimed international ‘25’ tour last year - which celebrated his incredible quarter of a century career as a comedian - the comedy superstar will play some of the biggest venues in the UK and Ireland in April and May next year.
John said: “After my 25 tour last year I thought I would take time off, but I loved it so much I am itching to get on the road again. So, I’ll be going out in the spring of 2027 with my new show, Let's Go Round Again. Nothing beats being on a stage and hearing people laugh. I am looking forward to spending this year working on the show and developing new material because I know 2027 will come round fast. And if my last tour was anything to go by, people are really ready for a good laugh.”
The announcement of this tour coincides with the 30 January UK cinema release of the new film ‘Is This Thing On?’, inspired by John’s life and directed by Bradley Cooper. The film also stars Cooper, Will Arnett and Laura Dern.
Let's Go Round Again kicks off on 29 April in Leeds at the First Direct Bank Arena and then travels around the UK, before culminating at Dublin’s 3Arena on 16 May.
Since John’s first gig in October 2000, he has achieved so much in his incredible career. Within three years John was playing to sold out arena audiences across the country and released the fastest selling stand-up DVD in UK history.
He has achieved huge success with a number of his own comedy, entertainment and documentary TV shows including: ‘John Bishop’s Australia’ (BBC1), ‘John Bishop’s Britain’ (BBC1); ‘John Bishop’s Only Joking’ (Sky1); ‘The John Bishop Show’ (BBC1); ‘The John Bishop Christmas Show’ (BBC1) and ‘John Bishop’s Gorilla Adventure’ (ITV1), ‘John Bishop’s Ireland’ (ITV1) and four series of the critically acclaimed ‘John Bishop: In Conversation With…’ (W Channel) which saw him chatting one to one with some of the biggest names in entertainment, music and sport. Other TV credits include two series of ’The John Bishop Show’ (ITV1), ‘Doctor Who’ (BBC1) and the documentary John & Joe Bishop: Life After Deaf (ITV1).
2023 saw John star in the UK & Ireland tour of Mother Goose with Ian McKellen, which included a hugely successful run in London’s West End.
In 2024, he embarked on a major sold-out international tour – Back At It - his first stand-up show in two years, which culminated at the London Palladium in April 2025. The tour included legs in Europe, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Later this year, John makes a welcome return to Saturday nights on BBC One, hosting a brand-new eight-part entertainment series, ‘Wisdom of the Crowd’.
