We are truly blessed to have their support along with 2FM, the team in MCD and the 3Arena. We will continue to strive and help children in Ireland who need the ISPCC and Childline and We Will Never Give Up On A Child. Ever.”

Dan Healy Head of 2FM and RTÉ Radio Strategy said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be heading into our 3rd year with the 2FM Xmas Ball in aid of the ISPCC which is a very important event in our calendar. Judging by the amount of texts we are receiving from our listeners regarding this year's ball, I am certain we'll again raise a huge amount of money for a cause that is close to all our hearts at 2FM. This year's line up is another great showcase of top Irish music talent, all of whom are great live performers. It’ll be great to be back in the 3Arena working with Caroline Downey and her team at the ISPCC and I can’t wait for the 19th of December.

All parties involved with the 2FM Xmas Ball are providing their services free of charge on the night including artists, organisers and 3Arena. The complete funding of the concert goes towards the financial support and aid of the 24 hour phone-line and the ISPCC services dedicated to helping children.

ABOUT THE ISPCC

The ISPCC is the national child protection charity in Ireland.  Everything it does is focused on keeping children safe, giving them the support they need. The core aim of all of the ISPCC’s services is to build psychological resilience among young people. The ISPCC provides services across the country focused on building children’s resilience and improved mental wellbeing. The 24-hour national listening service Childline responded to 405,255 contacts from children last year. The volume of calls to Childline clearly indicates that children feel valued, respected and listened to. Childline is unique in its availability, accessibility and affordability to children. It can be accessed from anywhere in Ireland and is a free service for children and young people aged up to 18. Childline uses systems that children are familiar and comfortable with, including phone, text and online chat service options.

ISPCC helps children cope with issues that affect them such as isolation and loneliness, bullying, mental health difficulties, cyber safety, drug and alcohol misuse, trauma, violence and abuse.  Close to 80% of the funding required to provide these services comes from the generosity of the Irish public, individual or corporate donations.  ISPCC also depends on the commitment of its volunteers who give their time to listen to, and mentor, children across Ireland, and provide an invaluable support to a generation of children who need help. In 2016 these volunteers provided 62,520 hours of voluntary service to children. Without these incredible people, who gave their time voluntarily, the ISPCC could not maintain the level of services provided.

PLEASE NOTE**Persons under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and standing is strictly limited to over 16 and the standing area is Strictly Over 14's.**
